A Bluetooth audio device—like a smartphone or computer—can connect to the speaker for audio playback. To pair a Bluetooth device:
- Bose Portable Home Speaker
With the speaker on, press the Bluetooth button on the top of the speaker
If the light ring on the top of the speaker is not pulsing blue, press and hold the Bluetooth button until the light ring begins to pulse blue
On the device to be paired, go to “Settings” > “Bluetooth” and turn on Bluetooth
In the device’s Bluetooth menu, select “Add new device” or “Search” (or similar) and wait for the device to find nearby Bluetooth devices
From the list of Bluetooth devices that are found, select “Bose Portable Home Speaker” or the name you gave the speaker upon connecting it to your Wi-Fi network
Once connected, the light ring will glow white and either announce the name of the connected device (if Voice Prompts are enabled) or play a brief tone.
The speaker remembers the last eight connected Bluetooth devices. To automatically reconnect later on, make sure that Bluetooth is enabled on your device, then press the Bluetooth button on the speaker while it is powered on.
