Locating the serial number

Most serial numbers can be found on the back or bottom of the product and typically near a barcode. Serial numbers are 17 digits long (or 4 digits long for some headphones) and can include letters and numbers. In addition, products that are compatible with the Bose Connect app will display the serial number in the app under Settings > Product Info.

Here's an example of what a serial number on a product can look like:

If you cannot find your serial number on your product, here are a few additional places it may be located:

Headphones

In-ear

A 4-digit code located on the earbud body or the eartip. You may need to remove the silicone tip to see it.

Around-ear

The 17-digit serial number will be located on the inside of the earcup. You may have to slightly lift the inner fabric to see the label.

On-ear

Check the headband for a 4-digit code. If you are unable to locate one, remove the cushion to reveal the 17-digit serial number on the earcup. If your headphones use a rechargeable battery, remove the battery and look inside the battery compartment.

Noise-masking sleepbuds™

The 17-digit serial number will be on the bottom of the charging case.

Aviation headsets

The 17-digit serial number for the headset will be on the headband under the cushion. There may be an additional serial number in the control module in the battery compartment.

Speakers

The serial number is located on the back or bottom of the speaker.

Home cinema

The serial number is located on the back or bottom of the soundbar, the back or bottom of the Acoustimass module or the bottom of the control console.
